Throw a Princess Birthday Party with The Princess Party Co. in Grand Rapids

FILL OUT YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE

Your questionnaire is the most important thing to take care of after reserving your date. Soon after you reserve, you’ll receive your questionnaire via email. Take some time to carefully and completely fill in your party information so we know exactly how to prepare for your little girl’s princess party. We know filling out forms is not the most exciting way to spend your time, but trust us when we say that this questionnaire is an extremely important document that deserves your attention. You’ll need to fill us in on the time your party will begin, where it’s being held, which princess you’ve chosen, and any special instructions or additional info you’d like to share. We want to make sure we have accurate information about your party so that we can get to work making it absolutely perfect!

CREATE AND SEND YOUR INVITATIONS

The invitations are among the most important matters to settle as you prepare for your little girl’s big day! You’ll have to include your party date, time, address, reason for the party, and RSVP information to make sure that all the guests’ parents are on the same page and have all the details they need to get their children to your party. As for how you present this information on your invitations, the sky’s the limit! You can go with the classic fill-in-the-blank invitation cards you can pick up at any party store, you can go the digital route and design the invites on your computer and email them to your guests, you can browse customizable designs on Etsy, or you can haul out your little girl’s craft supplies and help her make homemade and completely personalized invitations for her friends! Make sure to get them in the mail with plenty of time before your party so your guests have enough notice!

DECORATE!

You have two options when it comes to decorating for a princess party: stick to the basics or go completely over-the-top. While of course your princess visitor and your child are going to be the main focuses of your event, a beautifully decorated space will only enhance the enchantment and further immerse your young guests in a fairytale world of magic and wonder. Your princess visitor serves as wonderful inspiration for your color palette and decor. If your child has chosen to invite Tiana to her party, decorate your party in cool, serene colors like light green and pale purple. Frog figurines, lily pads, and water lilies are perfect elements to incorporate into your table decor, too! You can look into your chosen princess’ fairytale to find enchanting details to incorporate into your decorations. More inspiration can be found on party blogs, social media, and the aisles of your favorite party store.

BAKE YOUR CAKE

If you’re choosing to close out your princess party with the traditional birthday cake, make sure to plan in advance! Take your ideas to the local bakery a couple weeks in advance to confirm that your plan can be created without a hitch. Whether you want a simple sheet cake covered in princess-themed decorations or an elaborate shaped creation, choose your child’s favorite flavor to personalize the dessert to her. It’s a great idea, like with your party space decor, to include colors and decorative additions that point to your princess visitor. A cohesive party makes for gorgeous pictures your child will want to look at again and again!

CHOOSE YOUR PARTY FAVORS

It’s always a nice gesture to give your young guests a parting gift as they leave, something small and simple that will remind them of your child’s special day and thank them for coming. Your little girl may have some ideas of what her friends might like to receive, or you can choose something specific that goes along with your princess party theme to keep the magic alive long after the children leave! Popular princess party favor ideas include magic wands, tiaras or crowns, and costume jewelry. Candy, dolls and figurines, and stickers are more great ideas that kids will be happy to receive!

TELL YOUR GUESTS IT’S A PRINCESS PARTY

Your little girl will want her guests to be comfortable and enjoy her special day as much as she will, so it’s important to let the other parents know what their kids can expect. Having a princess guest is an exciting thing, but you’ll want to make sure that the kids who sometimes get anxious meeting new people are prepared. We know everyone will warm up to our lovely, friendly princess eventually, but we also know that the courtesy of a heads up will be appreciated by parents of shy kids. An easy way to make sure all your guests are aware of the princess is to include a note on your invitations.
